Dharamendra …You are the Evergreen Bollywood Hero

I got chance to watch IIFA awards online. God bless the soul who has made it available online for hopeless NRIs like me.
Well I liked it overall. Though, it touched some of my deep chords. But overall, it was complete entertainment Indian way. I loved Lara’s diction. How glamorous she can look is always understatement. Amitabh and his family have failed to catch my attention owing my dislike for their orthodox stands. But I wonder we made Amitabh too big for his own shoes. I guess all other actors of his age, haven’t got ten percent of media and headspace. I wish he and his family gets on their roots soon. No ill-will but behaving the way they have done in past.. I guess all they deserve is complete ignorance by media , by people and others.. Soon they will know what it is to be a “publicly ignored public figure”.
Having said that, I loved most of the winners in award except best actor category, I wonder how come Amir khan is not considered. What touched my chord deep inside is Dharmendra’s speech. I wondered this elder actor hasn’t got any share of the pie of Amitabh age of roles.. I wish he does.. when he was speaking , his face was so evident of the strain of dual life he has been living. I really have no authority to say it, but as they are public figures. We do get interested to know about them. I always felt falling for Hema was disastrous for Darmendra ‘s life in overall picture. But Hema was too big a world to be ignored.
I can understand the tussle and mental dilemma Dharmendra has lived through.. No one needs to read about it anywhere. It’s written all over his face. Our choices so govern our life. Sometime I wonder, when we really don’t have total control over our life. Do we really have freedom to make the choices?
Dharamendra and his sons were on stage, and it was so clear that this family is strained emotionally to its limits. Seeing Amitabh standing behind this..was like seeing two dichotomies of choices. It occurred to my mind..If Amitabh would have opted to leave Jaya and include Rekha in his life, Would he look like Dharamendra , Tired, lost and emotioanlly drained….
Even now he doesn’t look great either..He just looks empty deep inside and superficially having “full plate”. He has one son..who shows to world, his father is his god.. or whatever ..It was clear that Hema was n’t there.. If she would have been there..It would have been a worth watch speculation.. Thanks to my mind, Jaya wasn’t there. I really dislike her genre of women. I would love Rekha anytime better than this Woman. At least she has courage and guts..
These movie stars lead a life which is sometimes more convoluted than the roles they play. I always pity them for the pressure and vacuum they have to live with.. Yes pity.. I don’t Idolize them, don’t madly worship them, don’t think they are too good to look at.. I just pity them for the price they pay for materialism. If they come from average families like middle class ones.. They are little better fortunate compared to the ones who are born in this emptiness.
We don’t choose our parents.. I think that s why it simplifies our life in our childhood. Atleast for most of us. Not for all; because for some, parents are biggest demon they will ever meet in life.

With all above thoughts going on in mind, I had my dose of bollywood entertainment. Long live bollywood..
